Every fish pictured on this web site was caught by someone staying at the Gone Fishin' Lodge. It is also important to point out that these pictures are not from extraordinary fishing trips. Most fishing trips produce fish and pictures just like these.

King Salmon are considered by some to be the ultimate catch in Alaska. They range from 20 to 90 pounds, and with their unbelievable power and the Kenai River's strong current, they will give you the fight of your life!

King Salmon run up the Kenai River and right past our lodge in May, June and July. There is also some very good salt water King Salmon fishing in May.

The World Record King Salmon Weighed 97 lbs. 4 oz. Caught by Lester Anderson May 17th, 1985 on the Kenai River.

Silver Salmon are considered the "residents choice" and are renowned for their fighting spirit! Silvers are extremely aggressive and are fun for anglers because of the fighting and jumping. Silvers usually range between 7 and 15 pounds.

Silver Salmon start their run around the middle of July and end in late September or early October. August is the peak time for fishing for the fiesty Silver Salmon.

Halibut are some of the best tasting fish in the world. Most Halibut caught are between 20 and 50 pounds with larger fish being caught very often. The world record Halibut weighed 459 lbs. 0 oz. caught in Dutch Harbor, AK June 11, 1996 by Jack Tragis

The Halibut fishing is best between May and September.

Red Salmon are considered by some to be the best fighting and tasting! Reds are usually between 7 and 10 pounds the world record: 16 lbs. 0 oz. Kenai River, Alaska in 1974.

The Red Salmon run is from June to August.

When you stay at the Gone Fishin' Lodge you can fish for Reds right off our private fishing dock. The dock is complete with a cleaning station and stairs right into the river. Use your free time to stock up on the good tasting Reds.

Fishing for these sport fish is a true anglers dream. Using fly rods or spin cast setups you can enjoy some of the world best sport fishing. While most fishing is catch-and-release you will have pictures to prove you were there. The world record Dolly Vardon was 19 lb. 4 oz. on the Kenai River, Alaska in 1998. The world record Rainbow was 42 lbs. 2 oz. Bell Island, Alaska on June 22, 1970 by David Robert White.

The best fishing for these sport fish is between June and September.

Pink Salmon run up to 10 pounds and give anglers quite a battle for their size. You can double your fishing by landing Silvers and Pinks. The Alaska State record is 12 lbs. 9 oz. caught on the Moose River, Alaska. .

Pink Salmon run in August with the heaviest runs being in even numbered years.
